An elderly man confessed to stabbing his wife to death after she refused to cook him a hamburger, police say.
78-year-old Bartolo Gelsomino, who lives in Kendall, Florida, faces second-degree murder charges in the stabbing death of his wife, 71-year-old Ana Gelsomino, the Miami Herald reported.
Police grew suspicious after the couple’s adult daughter found her mother’s body covered in blood at the home and their son said his father had a history of domestic violence, the paper also reported.
Gelsomino is being held at the Miami-Dade County Jail.
