The Florida Lottery recently announced that Keith Royal, of Opa-locka, claimed a prize playing the Mega Millions Draw game.
The South Florida man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,000,000.
Royal purchased his winning Mega Millions with Megaplier ticket from Publix, located at 2630 LPGA Boulevard in Daytona Beach in Central Florida.
He claimed his multi-million dollar prize at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Since joining MEGA MILLIONS in 2013, the game has generated more than $1.37 billion for education and awarded $1.96 billion in prizes to 88.4 million players.
