A 25-year-old South Florida man was arrested on sexual battery, kidnapping, false imprisonment and battery by strangulation charges against a coworker victim.
Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit have arrested 25-year-old Tresel Huffman on a number of charges related to sexual battery. Huffman was arrested on January 14th, after committing the “heinous crime,” according to law enforcement.
According to investigators, at approximately 7am that day, Broward County Regional Communications received a call about a sexual battery that occurred around 6am near the 1800 block of East Atlantic Boulevard in Pompano Beach. BSO deputies responded to the business. Deputies learned the victim’s coworker sexually battered her.
BSO’s Special Victim’s Unit detectives were notified of the incident and responded to investigate and take a detailed statement from the victim.
During the investigation, probable cause was determined, and Huffman was summoned back to the business by his employer and taken into custody.
He now faces one count each of sexual battery, kidnapping, false imprisonment and battery by strangulation.
The investigation is ongoing, according to law enforcement.
