Florida has Four of 20 Most Unemployed Cities

The State of Florida has four of the 20 most unemployed cities.   These are: Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando and Tampa.

According to Business Insider, these cities join others like Louisville, Kentucky; Chicago, Illinois; Birmingham, Alabama; San Diego, California; and Atlanta, Georgia.

Orlando, currently has an unemployment rate of 11.5 percent with some 128,200 persons unemployed.  Tampa’s unemployment rate is a bit worse at 11.7 percent.  Miami and Jacksonville have jobless rates of 10.9 percent and 10.7 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate is set to hit 10 percent anytime now and some analysts predict that it would be at least five years before the US returns, once again, to jobless rates of 6-7 percent.
