A 2-year-old Orlando boy was killed after he was accidentally run over by a utility truck his father was driving, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Jose Manuel Cruz, 52, of Orlando was backing up a utility truck in the driveway when 2-year-old Prince Cruz somehow got outside, travelling into its path without his father’s knowledge.
Troopers say, the right side tires ran over Prince who was pronounced dead on the scene.
The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. Thursday, in the 4800 block of Old Oak Tree Court in Orange County.
Prince was being watched by a 16-year-old babysitter in the house, troopers also said.
Florida Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation.
