Florida’s A & M University would likely have to cut $4.4 to $8.9 million from its 2010-2011 budget owing to a likely shortfall in state funds. This is the word from the university’s chief financial officer, Teresa Hardee who briefed the trustees today. In presenting her report, Hardee also reminded the trustees that Florida faces a projected $2.7 billion revenue deficit next fiscal year which commencing July 1st, making more problematic, the state’s contribution to the university.
Tallahassee: While the current school year is safe so far from additional cuts, CFO Teresa Hardee said the outlook is less promising for the 2010-11 school year.
“The revenue picture does not look bright until May 2014,” Hardee said.
