The housing market is still in the doldrums and many experts believe that it is time for the Obama administration to try something different from what has been done in the past.
Housing experts say, it’s time to focus on pushing many of the deliquent borrowers through the foreclosure process, and putting foreclosed properties back into use.
They argue that while 2.2 million loans in foreclosure can still be saved, many are still to far gone. Data show that 37 percent have not made a payment in more than 24 months, while another 34 percent have not made a payment in 12 to 23 months, according to Lender Processing Services.
