Escaped inmate Gary Sneed’s luck ran out when a law enforcement officer stopped to help him after his car broke down – and subsequently took him back to jail.

Florida Highway Patrol officials say they have arrested an inmate who escaped from a Mississippi state work camp, wptv.com reports. They also arrested the woman they say helped him flee.

Trooper Shane Crawford stopped to help what he thought was a disabled vehicle in Central Florida on Saturday, wptv.com also reported. He ran a computer check on the car’s tags and found the vehicle had been stolen from Mississippi.
