Embrace Families Seeking Elves to Spread Holiday Magic to Youth in Foster Care

The lead nonprofit agency overseeing child welfare in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties needs hundreds of elves to help spread holiday magic to youth in foster care.

Each year, Embrace Families invites the community to contribute to its Holiday Magic initiative, which collects meals, toys and other gifts that are given to children, young adults and families served by the organization. For many of them, this time of year can be a heavy reminder of the instability in their lives.

There are two ways to give:

  • Donate $15, $25, $30 or $50 online (contributions provide holiday meals or gifts)
  • Sponsor an older youth’s wish list

“One of the best parts of my job is seeing pure joy on the faces of our kids and families this time of year,” said Glen Casel, President and CEO at Embrace Families. “Many often feel they might be left out, and that immediately changes when a case manager drops off a holiday surprise thanks to our generous Central Florida community.”
