Police Hunting for Strong Armed Robber
A 71-year-old man was the subject of an attempted strong armed robbery as he returned home from a walk with his dog on Sunday.
The victim told police that he heard a noise behind him and when he turned around, an unknown black male suspect walked towards him.
As the victim neared his residence on Windmill Grove Circle in Orlando, he told police the suspect was within feet of him and demanded all of his money. The elderly man did not comply.
The victim told police, as a vehicle neared their location, the suspect fled east on foot.
A perimeter was set up and Chase and a K-9 responded to the scene, but met with negative results.
According to the victim, the suspect was dressed in all black clothing and his face was covered by a black bandana.
Police have not released the name of the victim, who suffered no injuries.
