Deputies are searching for suspects who shot and killed a man as he drove along Terrell Road, off north Orange Blossom Trail, in Tangerine on Monday afternoon.
Around 2:20 pm on Monday, November 8, deputies said a 911 call was received from a citizen indicating that several shots had been fired on Terrell Road in Tangerine. When investigators arrived, emergency personnel were on the scene administering life saving techniques to a male in a vehicle who had crashed into the woods.
The victim was taken to Florida Hospital in Apopka, where he was pronounced dead. The name of the victim has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators say the victim had been traveling west on Terrell Road in a pick-up truck when several gunshots were fired into the vehicle. The victim drove on for approximately half a mile and finally off the road into the woods, crashing into a tree.
