Troopers have released the name of the driver killed in a high speed crash on I-4 early on Monday morning.
The deceased is 25-year-old Angel Velasquez, of Riverview, Florida.
FHP said, Velasquez was traveling westbound on I-4 and attempting to exit onto US 192 eastbound at a high rate of speed, when he lost control. The 2002 Chevy SUV he was driving, struck a guardrail, overturned and Valasquez was ejected. He was pronounced dead on the spot by the medical examiner.
A passenger, Yonathan Maramaolejos, 23, of Brandon, was transported to ORMC in critical condition.
A second passenger, Manuel Fernandez Mata sustained serious injuries and fled the scene on foot. Osceola County deputies found Mata later and he was flown to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.
Two other passengers in the SUV, 20-year-old Zulika Diaz, of Riverview and 22-year-old Iliana Velasquez, of Tampa, sustained minor injuries and were taken to local area hsopitals.
It is not known yet whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation.
