Walt Disney World has raised its one-day, one-park ticket price by $4, taking the price of a one-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom to $99. A one-day ticket to other theme parks – Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been raised to $94 from $90. The new ticket prices take effect today, Sunday, February 23rd.
Last year one-day ticket prices were raised from $89 a day for all four theme parks in June. This year’s price increases come much earlier in the year.
“Our pricing reflects the high quality and breadth of experiences we offer and our ongoing commitment to investing in our parks. We offer a variety of ticket options that provide a great value, and find that most guests select multi-day tickets that offer additional savings,” said Disney spokesman Bryan Malenius, clickorlando.com reported.
In 2013, Disney’s revenue and profits reached new highs for a third straight year, with its shares gaining 38% for the year, more than 10 percentage points better than the broad market and doubling over the past two years.
