Disney management and union representatives arrived at a tentative agreement on Friday, following nearly nine months of negotiations. Disney workers have been holding out for fair wage increases and affordable health insurance.
Disney had previously offered a $550 bonus, but has now proposed a $650 bonus and will give as much as a 3 percent annual raise for three years, reports wdbo.com.
Earlier this week, Disney reported an increase in profits of 54 percent.
The agreement will now be put to workers for a vote later this month.
On Wednesday, the Service Trades Council Union (STCU), representing over 20,000 workers, staged a rally to draw attention to the ongoing struggle with Disney for a fair contract, ahead of negotiations today.
