Deputies Searching for Gunmen after Robbery Leaves One Dead

Early on Friday morning, two masked gunmen entered a home on Chukar Drive near Clarcona Ocoee Road in Pine Hills, robbed the occupants and shot and killed a 29-year-old man, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said.

According to OCSO:

During the early morning hours on Friday, the OCSO emergency communications center received a 911 call advising of a home invasion in progress. The caller indicated subjects had entered the home and were robbing the residents.  The caller stated the subjects were armed with guns, adding that a male resident had been shot.  As deputies responded, the suspects fled the crime scene.  No vehicle description is available at this time.

Once deputies arrived at the residence they discovered a male victim deceased inside the residence. OCFD also was on scene, but the victim had succumbed to the injuries suffered.

The deceased is Bobby Rambaran, 29 years.

Based on their preliminary investigation, detectives say that at least two masked black males armed with a hand gun and long gun entered the residence, demanded money and robbed the occupants.  During the home invasion the victim was shot.   The suspects fled the crime scene.

The investigation is ongoing and OCSO crime scene investigators and forensics teams are at the location collecting evidence.

Anyone with information which will assist in identifying the persons responsible is asked to call Crimeline at # 1-800-423-8477.
