Deputies are searching for three armed men who shot dead another man in his home in Orange County on Sunday night.
Investigators said, 20-year-old Joshua Gutierrez was confronted by the three masked men at the home on Buck Road around 11:00 p.m.
Gutierrez refused to hand over money and property and was shot.
Orange Count Fire Rescue officials arrived at the location, but Gutierrez was prounced dead a short while later.
Gutierrez was known to the suspects, investigators said, although the nature of their relationship is unclear.
The suspects – two Black males and one Hispanic – made off with a safe that was inside the residence.
Deputies are not releasing the contents of the safe at this time.
Detectives are following up on numerous leads as the investigation continues.
