Deputies: Man Shot, Killed at Local Night Club

A man was shot and killed early on Monday morning at a local night club and deputies are searching for several persons who might be connected to the shooting.

Orange County deputies say, a crowd of about 70 people were gathered at the Legacy Ultra Lounge on north Kirkman Road Super Bowl night, when an argument erupted between two groups of people.

Deputies also say, while the argument subsided it picked up again and a man, identified as Chico Randolph, tried to calm tensions between the parties.

In the melee, Randolph was shot twice and trampled on by people fleeing the club. He was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators said, the search in on for four black men and one female, all of whom fled the scene. It is believed that they may be from the Caribbean, because of their accent, deputies said.

Today’s shooting is the second murder at the Legacy Ultra Lounge in six months, deputies said.
