Another suspect was arrested on Friday in connection with a fake bomb threat against Polk State College.
33-year-old Theron Kendall Brown, Jr. of Jewel Avenue, Lakeland, was arrested at his residence in Lakeland.
Brown was charged with making a false Report of bomb threat and disturbing school peace. Brown is an aquaintance of 19-year-old Alexxis Cherelle Anthony of West Myrtle Street, Lakeland. Anthony was arrested on Tuesday and charged with a false report of a bomb threat and disturbing school peace.
On Friday, Theron Kendall Bron, Jr. was located at his residence in Lakeland. During an interview with Polk County Sheriff’s deputies, post Miranda, Brown confessed to placing a bomb threat to Polk State College on July 28.
Brown said he used a TracPhone, 863.409.5672, to place this call. This phone number is the same one identified by caller ID via Polk State College personnel.
He told deputies he had no specific reason for placing the bomb threat. He said it was “just a stupid thing for me to do”.
Brown was arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail without further incident.
