A man who stabbed a woman after a domestic dispute on Thursday is in jail, Orange County deputies said.
James A. Oconnell, 46, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, sexual battery and false imprisonment.
Deputies went to a residence on Cozy Cove Circle in Orlando around 10:00 am, where they found a woman who had been stabbed.
The victim was taken to Florida Hospital/Rollins with non-life threatening injuries. Detectives learned during the investigation that not only was the victim stabbed, but she was beaten and forced into having sex with suspect, Oconnell the previous night.
Oconnell was arrested without incident today, while walking near Fairbanks and Edgewater Avenues, deputies said.  He was booked into the Orange County Jail.
