Daytona Lagoon is hiring full and part-time seasonal employees for the 2023 season. Various job positions are available, including lifeguards, admission cashiers, ride operators and more.
Daytona Lagoon is hosting a job fair for various positions this Saturday, February 18th from noon to 5pm, as they gear up for the opening of their waterpark season in March. Park representatives said this is a great opportunity for teenagers, young adults, and anyone in the area looking for a new job opportunity.
Wages will start at $11.80 per hour, depending on experience, for all positions. Wages for lifeguard positions begin at $12.70 per hour. No previous job experience is required for employment at Daytona Lagoon. The facility will provide all positions with the necessary training for the individual role. The minimum age requirement for employment is 16 years old.
“Those who are part of our team at Daytona Lagoon are often young residents of the Daytona Beach community who are gaining valuable work experience and earning life-long skills such as lifeguarding, customer service and safe food handling,” said Tyler Currie, General Manager about Daytona Lagoon hiring. “We believe this is important to the community at large and its success shows in the high rate of returning seasonal staff each year.”
Daytona Lagoon offers fun perks for all employees that include free and special discounted tickets and passes available for friends and family, flexible work schedules, free park admission, and discounts on food and retail.
For those not able to attend the job fair, applications can be submitted at the park during any operating day or online.
Daytona Lagoon’s waterpark will reopen for the 2023 season on March 4th.
