The Ohio woman who assisted a cop in taking down an unruly motorist by hitting him around the head, has been revealed.
Angela Pierce, is the Good Samaritan who helped out Dayton Police Officer Jonathan Seiter, when he was being pummeled by Otto Coleman, 62, on December 11. Coleman had been stopped for a traffic violation–a broken tail light.

On Wednesday, Seiter had an opportunity to thank Ms. Pierce, personally, when he went to her home. Seiter had said that he thought Pierce was a guardian angel for coming to his assistance in helping him subdue Coleman.
“I really appreciate what you did,” Seiter told Pierce when they met, ABC reports.
Coleman who was stopped by Seiter for a broken tail light, ended up in a scuffle with the officer. Coleman at one point had the officer pinned to the side of the patrol cruiser, while trying to grab Seiter’s gun and taser.
Pierce who was passing by and witnessed the fight, jumped into action, hitting Coleman in the head until police back-up arrived.
Dayton Police commended Pierce for her actions, but say that they do not encourage citizens’ participation in the taking down of suspects.
Coleman, as it turned out, has a relatively long rap sheet, including attempted murder charges.
