Coyotes are an increasing problem in Central Florida, so much that town officials have begun to put up warning signs about them in the wake of a coyote attack on a pet Chihuahua last month.

Joy Hill, a spokeswoman for the state Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, said the agency also made brochures available to residents to help them avoid conflicts with coyotes, an increasing problem in Central Florida.
