On November 20, Approximately 400 youth and adults will gather to keep the light of hope burning for homeless youth as part of the 18th Annual Candlelight Vigil hosted by Covenant House Florida. It begins at 6:00 p.m. The Procession begins at the Cathedral Church at St. Luke, 130 North Magnolia Avenue, to Lake Eola Amphitheater in Lake Eola Park, 101 N. Rosalind Avenue. Walkers will place their candles on the amphitheater stage for 6:30 p.m. Candlelight Vigil
At Lake Eola Amphitheater, the vigil will include inspiring words from teens and supporters, music by New Covenant Praise Band, and prayer and praise, including a candle lighting ceremony to “Go Light Your World” and a rendition of the classic hymn “Amazing Grace” by the 400 or so in attendance.
Covenant House Florida is producing this event in partnership with Cathedral Church at Saint Luke, University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, St. Maximilian Kolby Catholic Church, United Methodist Church of Oviedo, First Baptist Church of Longwood, New Covenant Praise Band and Publix Supermarkets.
