A South Florida man who allegedly botched dozens of cosmetic surgeries despite not being licensed in the state has been sentenced to jail.
Gregorio Nosovsky, known to his patients simply as “Dr. Greg”, was handed the 90-day sentence Friday in Broward County.
Nosovsky has a medical license in Mexico, but not in the U.S. He worked at the Advanced Center for Cosmetic Surgery, a Weston facility run by his brother, who is a state-licensed physician.
About 39 women say they’ve had complications from surgery performed by 62-year-old Nosovsky, including one who lost part of her breast and others who’ve had to have major corrective surgery.
He insists his brother performed the procedures, and prosecutors acknowledge it’s difficult to prove who actually was the surgeon.
