HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, an affiliate of HCA Florida Healthcare, recently announced that it has begun construction on the new $12.7 million HCA Florida Airport North Emergency located on the corner of South Semoran Boulevard and Lee Vista Boulevard in Orlando, Florida.

Slated to open in summer of 2023, the 10,860 square-foot facility will be located north of the Orlando International Airport and expected to serve over 200,000 local residents and over 19 million visitors. In addition, the facility will employ approximately 40 full-time healthcare professionals.

HCA Florida Airport North Emergency will be a full-service, state-of-the-art emergency room with board certified emergency medicine physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals ready to service the needs of the community with the same capabilities as a main hospital emergency room. The opening of this new freestanding ER is part of HCA Florida Healthcare’s continued expansion in Central Florida and the Orlando Metro area.

“We are pleased to be part of HCA Florida Healthcare’s continued expansion in communities and the Orlando Metro area”, said David Shimp, Chief Executive Officer of HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. “HCA Florida Airport North Emergency will be able to offer high-quality, expeditious emergency care around the clock by board certified physicians close to families’ homes, work and travel.”

The freestanding ER construction site is located on 5597 Lee Vista Boulevard in Orlando and will treat families with all types of acute injuries and illnesses, around the clock, every day of the year.
