Four high school football state championships are on the line this weekend as the Road to Orlando continues. After some exciting games from the state’s smaller classifications (1A – 4A) last weekend, the larger classifications (5A, 6A, 7A & 8A) will play at the Florida Citrus Bowl this Friday and Saturday. The Central Florida Sports Commission, the City of Orlando, Edgewater High School and Orange County Public Schools are the co-hosts for the state finals.
“With seven of the eight teams playing this weekend ranked nationally in various polls, there will be no shortage of talent on the field,” said Central Florida Sports Commission interim executive director Brent Nelson. “This is Central Florida’s chance to see some of the nation’s best teams in our own backyard.”
Tickets are on sale for all 8 title games. For the first time ever at the FHSAA Football Finals, fans will have the ability to purchase a reserved seat ticket, with a limited number of reserved seats on sale for each game for $17. General admission seats for each game are $12. Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster and the Amway Center Box Office. They can also be purchased on game day at the Citrus Bowl gates.
