Charlie Crist’s Unfinished Agenda

Source: tampabay.com

A view is being formed that, Florida’s Governor, Charlie Crist, is leaving behind a big and incomplete agenda as he forgoes his bid for a second term, and instead looks to the U.S. Senate.

Breaking with a long standing tradition of over 40 years, in which previous governors wanted a second term to demonstrate their effectiveness, this is not the case with Crist, who says that he does not think much about his legacy.

The areas in which there is much unfinished work relate to the yet- to- be revitalized Florida economy, where the jobless rate is around 11 percent, greater than the national average; property insurance and health insurance for both uninsured children and adults, where some 4 million persons remain uninsured in the Sunshine State.
