A Central Florida high school teacher was arrested for a sexual relationship with a student.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested the teacher from Riverview High School near Tampa who is accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a male student.
On May 16th, detectives launched an investigation after receiving information about an inappropriate relationship between 27-year-old Brooke Anderson and a male student.
The student disclosed that the relationship began in September 2024, starting with sexually explicit text messages. In the weeks leading up to the arrest, the relationship escalated.
The student reported multiple instances of sexual activity. According to local law enforcement, the most recent incident occurred the morning of May 16th, inside Anderson’s classroom before the start of the school day.
“This teacher betrayed the trust of a student, a school, and an entire community,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “What should have been a safe, supportive environment for learning was exploited for abuse. Her actions are criminal, calculated, and deeply disturbing.”
Anderson was charged with Unlawful Sexual Activity with a Minor (x3).
Anyone with information regarding this case, or who believes they may have been a victim, is urged to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200. This remains an active investigation, according to law enforcement.
