No, she is not going quietly.
More photos of Casey Anthony emerged overnight in a video gallery on YouTube, one day after a video diary of the Orlando mother, acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter last July, was made public.
But one person who isn’t buying that Casey’s video diary was improperly leaked as her attorneys have claimed is outspoken, tough- talking former prosecutor, Nancy Grace, host of HLN Nancy Grace Show. In an interview with ABC Good Morning America on Friday, Grace said that from the very beginning everything that Anthony and her defense team have said on this issue “was a big lie,” and she believes the video diary was leaked to stir up interest in Casey.
“..It’s calculated more to stir up interest in herself (Casey Anthony),” Grace said to GMA’s Robin Roberts. “It lands in the national media after the Christmas lull–the first work week following Christmas and the New Year’s, six months to the day of her acquittal. This is no coincidence, Robin.”
While Grace says she believes that Anthony’s video diary was leaked for monetary gain, she thinks it will backfire. She doesn’t see a book or movie deal likely for the infamous Orlando mother, whom she dubbed “Tot Mom.”
“Why give her a TV deal when she is posting this stuff on line,” she said. “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk free?” Grace also recalled that Anthony had earlier been shopping a $750,000 deal about herself, which didn’t pan out.
An Ohio man, Jon Briley, who runs the website, boycottcaseyanthony.com, told Grace on Thursday night that he had seen the video diary on a pay-per-view site and had downloaded and posted it on YouTube so that the public could have access to it, thereby preventing Anthony from profiting off of it.
Since Anthony’s video diary surfaced earlier this week, there are reports that parents, George and Cindy Anthony are concerned for her safety.
“Cindy and George were made aware of the video diary of their daughter this morning, January 5th 2012. They are concerned that the release of this video or any future videos could endanger their daughter. Cindy and George hope that Casey remains safe wherever she may be,” a statement issued by their attorney Mark Lippman states, cfnews13.com reports.
Anthony says her video diary is dated October 13, 2011, and she plans to do more, although “it’s scary, because I hate being on camera.”
Stay tuned. Surely, we haven’t heard the last of Casey Anthony.
