Bright Spot for Orlando Hotels

While the U.S. hotel industry reported mixed results for the week ending January 30th, Orlando experienced the largest occupancy increase, rising 24.1 percent from 52.5 percent in 2009 to 65.2 percent, according to data from Smith Travel Research (STR).

Orlando hotels also showed a 16.2 percent increase in Revenue Per Available (RevPAR) room from $59.98 in 2009 to US$69.71.

However, the Average Daily Rate (ADR) dropped by -6.3 percent, from $114.22 to $106.00.
