Sentenced to 30 years on Friday in the shooting death of his wife, James Robert Ward was admitted to a local hospital for medical observation on Saturday morning.
Orange County Corrections spokesman Allen Moore issued a statement on Saturday saying: “Inmate James Robert Ward is currently in a local hospital for medical observation. Ward was admitted to the hospital, after officers observed that he appeared to be ill early this morning and he told them he had taken the over-the-counter pain reliever Ibuprofen in a quantity above the recommended dosage,” reports wesh.com.
According to reports, Ward swallowed 20 Ibuprofen pills.
