An Apopka traffic stop turned into multiple arrests after finding illegal drugs.
According to local law enforcement, what began as a routine traffic stop for a wanted person quickly turned into a significant investigation.
During the stop, Apopka Police officers discovered illegal drugs and evidence of drug trafficking, leading to multiple arrests and the removal of dangerous substances from our streets. APD located nearly 13 grams of fentanyl during this traffic stop.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) states that as little as two milligrams of fentanyl can be a lethal dose for most people, depending on individual body size, tolerance, and past usage.
The Apopka Police Department said this incident highlighted the vigilance, training, and dedication of local officers, who they say work tirelessly every day to protect the local community.
APD said their quick actions not only apprehended a wanted person but also prevented further criminal activity.
