Thanks to The Dawn Brancheau Foundation, dogs at the Orange County Animal Services have a new state-of-the-art dog play yard.
On Sunday, employees and volunteers of Orange County Animal Services located at 2769 Conroy Road, dedicated the new dog play yard.
Dawn Brancheau, a SeaWorld trainer, was attacked and killed by a killer whale, Tilikum, in February 2010. Shortly after, The Dawn Brancheau Foundation was established in her honor. While Brancheau’s death was ruled an accident by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the entertainment water park was cited for three safety violations by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and fined $75,000.
Sunday’s dedication was also attended by friends and trainers from SeaWorld, as well as, representatives of the foundation.
