Orlando-based AirTran Airways announced today that traffic for the month of February grew by 2.7 percent, with paying passengers flying more than 1.3 billion miles.
The airline enplaned more than 1.66 million passengers, a 2.4 percent increase over the same period last year.
AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, is being acquired by Southwest Airlines for $1.4 billion in a cash-and-stock deal.
