A Weekend of FUN in the Name of the ARTS

On Saturday, October 23 from 6-9 p.m., jazz comes alive at the Casselberry’s Lake Concord Park, located at 95 Triplet Lake Drive. This FREE event, sponsored by the City of Casselberry and WLOQ 103.1 Orlando, will entice all jazz lovers to gather and be engulfed in the enjoyment of the innovative, contemporary sounds of recording artists of Nick Colionne and Jackiem Joyner.

Nick has blazed a trail to the top of the ranks of today’s stars. Combining all of the various influences of his music career from jazz to R&B to blues to rock, he has created an unmistakable sound and vibe that is instantly recognizable. With lightening fast speed and a distinctively silky sound, Nick takes the guitar to unexpected places every time he performs. His rich baritone vocals delight audiences unaccustomed to hearing such a skilled instrumentalist singing as well, and his showmanship….well, you have to see a Nick Colionne show and experience it for yourself.

Like a silent film star, Jackiem Joyner tells a story without words, with an instrumental voice that for the first time in the artist’s recording career includes a tenor sax in addition to his trademark alto and soprano horns. Hitting his stride, he is bolstered by the confidence to take risks, pushing the envelope creatively. He is equally comfortable as a sideman and commanding the stage solo. However it’s evident that his days in supporting roles are fleeting fast. Versatile and blessed with a visceral gift, Joyner is a rising star that has yet to reach its zenith.

There will be food and other specialty vendors. Bring your blankets, chairs and friends to enjoy a wonderful evening of Jazz. For more information, call (407) 262-7700 Ext. 1122.
