There is a growing trend which is raising some eye-brows – women signing up on-line, naming their price and going on a first date.
Orlando grabs second place state-wide where women signed up to “date-for-dollars” according to data released by “WhatsYourPrice.com, the world’s only dating-auction website.
According to WhatsYourPrice.com, the website saw an 81 percent increase in new female sign-ups in Florida alone, from June 2012 to May 2013.
In Orlando, some 3,050 women signed up with the average bid being $122.48, second only to Miami where 4,150 women signed up.
“The price for a shot at love is steep with the average cost of an accepted first-date offer in Miami at $136.93, which holds the top spot,” a statement from the dating-auction website read. The overall average price is $80.
The other three Florida cities which round out the top five, in relation to average bid and female sign ups are:
