In one of her first trips as Secretary of the Interior, and as part of the Obama Administration’s unprecedented commitment to the restoration of the Everglades, Sally Jewell will travel to Florida on Wednesday to tour the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge and Everglades National Park.
Jewell is expected to receive briefings on restoration issues including water flow, water quality, endangered species, and invasive species. She will also meet with stakeholders and employees of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Park Service.
