A registered sex offender has been arrested and charged with over 100 counts of sexual battery and over 50 counts of lewd and lascivious battery, Osceola County deputies said.
63-year-old Robert Grafton was taken into custody on Sunday without incident, after investigators learned he repeatedly abused two boys ages 13 and 14 years.
The St. Cloud parents of the boys told investigators they became suspicious when the teens after a while did not want to have contact with Grafton, whom they met several ago.
Authorities said Grafton would buy the children clothing, gave them money and most recently bought them cell phones. When the family was having financial problems, at one point, they lived with Grafton at his resident in St. Cloud. The parents were unaware that Grafton is registered sex offender, police said.
The boys told detectives that Grafton had been sexually abusing them since August 2012 and as recently as two days ago.
Grafton cooperated with the investigation, police said. He recently served 15 years in prison in Pennsylvania for a similar crime. He has been a registered sexual offender in Osceola County since February of 2011.
Grafton has been charged with 102 counts of sexual battery, 25 counts of lewd and lascivious battery and 30 counts of lewd and lascivious conduct.
