A child was shot in an apartment on Wednesday morning on Orange County’s west side, deputies said.
The incident happened at the Los Robles Condominium complex in the 4500 block of Silver Star Road.
Investigators received a 911 call around 9:30 a.m., regarding a child being shot.
Orange County Fire Rescue officers began rescue effort upon arrival at the apartment and the child was transported to the Arnold Palmer Hospital.
Investigators say, the child was at home with two other persons, one of whom was a relative, while the boy’s mother was at work.
The child’s condition is unknown.
Authorities have not revealed any other details regarding the shooting, as the investigation continues.
