Orange County Utilities will lift its one-day-a-week watering restriction temporarily for the warmer season. Beginning Sunday, March 10 and ending Sunday, November 3, Orange County properties will be limited to two-day-a-week watering.
“Although the water restriction has been extended to two-days-a-week, it is important that property owners pay attention to the needs of their lawn and landscape,” said Jacqueline Torbert, Manager of Orange County Utilities’ Water Division. “Watering only when necessary is an important component both to the health of lawns and to conserving water in Orange County.”
Homes with even-numbered addresses water only on Thursday and Sunday, homes with odd-numbered addresses water only on Wednesday and Saturday, and nonresidential properties water only on Tuesday and Friday. Watering is restricted to no more than one hour per zone and is prohibited between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. These restrictions apply to private wells and pumps, ground or surface water, and water from public and private utilities.
