Orange County Early Morning Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured

Deputies are investigating an early morning shooting in Orange County which left one person dead and two others injured.

Investigators were called to a home in the 1300 block on 43rd Street just after 3:00 a.m., on Sunday, in reference to a loud party disturbance and shots being fired.

Authorities say, upon arrival, a number of people were present at the scene, along with three males suffering from gunshot wounds.  All three, believed to be in their early 20s, were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, two with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities also say, one of the victims who was shot succumbed to his injuries.   The name of the deceased has not been released.

While investigating the shooting incident, a 911 call was received and deputies responded to another location where a man was detained for questioning in connection with the 43rd Street shooting.  The identity of this individual has not been released.

The motive for the shooting is unclear, as investigators continue to interview witnesses and gather evidence.
