A couple is behind bars today for stealing thousands of dollars in furniture from a home they were renting.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes detectives have arrested Joseph Harvey, 49 years old, and Anja Kannell, 39, for Grand Theft over $100,000.

On June 5, 2009, a couple who live on Emerald Chase Drive in Windermere called the Orange County Sheriff’s Office regarding theft of exotic furniture from their rental home. The couple rented the home to Harvey and Kannell in February of 2009, but after paying the security deposit and first months rent, the payments stopped. When the homeowners were able to evict Harvey and Kannell and gained access to their rental home they found missing –

Exotic furniture (Ivory lamps, Faberge eggs)

Home Theatre equipment
Refrigerator
Bedroom Set(s)
Exotic plants, and more.
All totaled Harvey and Kannell are believed to have stolen between $150 – $200 thousand dollars in furniture and other items. Detectives were able to track down the pair and locate all of the furniture in another house the suspects were currently renting.
