A 16-month-old child, forcibly removed by his non-custodial father, has been located and reunited with his mother, Orlando police said.

Adonis Strawter, who was forcibly removed by 26-year-old Timothy Strawter, is in good health and back with his mother, police also said.

Timothy Strawter, the toddler’s non-custodial father, was taken into custody and is being charged with battery-domestic violence, battery by strangulation (domestic violence), kidnapping and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, authorities said.  Strawter is an habitual traffic offender and there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, United States Marshal Service along with members of the Orlando Police Department’s Fugitive Investigative Unit, helped with tracking down Strawter and taking him into custody.

It is not clear whether Strawter was apprehended in Orlando and the conditions under which he was arrested.
