Daytona Beach police would like the public’s help in solving two homicides that occurred within a three-week period.
Authorities say, the nude body of Dylan Tharp, a white male, was found on the roof of the Peabody Auditorium at 600 Auditorium Boulevard on Sunday, November 11th. A maintenance worker alerted investigators to the murder, after he noticed a hole in the roof of the auditorium and discovered the body. Police say, Tharp appeared to have been beaten and was found with only a pair of socks on his body.
A reward of $5,000 is being offered leaving to information and the arrest of suspect(s) in this case. Anyone with information is urged to contact Dave Detter at # 386-671-5218.
Then, on December 1st, police discovered the body of a man who had been shot, lying in the roadway in the 600 block of Verdell Street. The victim, Rayshard Mitchell, a black male, had died from a gunshot wound to the chest, police say.
