Rebuilding Together Orlando (a 501c3 organization), with the help of TheHome Builders Institute and several local artists, has initiated a project named “A Door to a Good Night’s Sleep” that will provide beds for needy children in Central Florida. Some of these children currently have no choice but to sleep on the floor.
The beds were designed by local artists specifically for children, and built of 30% upcycled material. Rebuilding Together Orlando is asking members of the public to bid for the beds, and the money raised will go to support their construction costs. The winning bid entitles the bidder to donate the bed to anyone they choose, or they can let The Mustard Seed of Central Florida identify a deserving family with a child who would benefit from the bed.
Pictures of the beds and information on how to bid are available at: www.charityauctionstoday.com/store/rto. Bidding closes on December 17.
