Sarah Palin, now ex-Governor of Alaska, quit her post on Sunday night not before swiping the media and cloaking herself in the American soldier.
To some in the media, Palin said, ” How about in honor of the American soldier, quit making things up.” She also warned the media that, Alaska’s new governor “has a very nice family too, so leave his kids alone. ”
Palin, who on July 3rd announced her surprise resignation, said she was leaving her post as Alaska’s governor largely on account of family considerations. She also felt too that, she had become a lame duck, in view of the distractions arising from the several ethics complaints filed against her.
The state estimates that it has spent some $2 million to process public records act requests focused on Palin and to investigate about 19 ethics complaints.
It is not clear what Palin’s plans are, although she shrugs off any talk of running for President of the United States.
“I look forward to continuing to work for Alaska and for energy independence and for the contribution that Alaska could and should be making to allow our nation to be more secure and more prosperous,” Palin said recently.
Many in the national media speculate that Palin might take a job in the media or host her own talk show. The only thing that is certain is a book deal in the works.
Palin came to prominence when president candidate, John McCain picked her to be the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee.
