BAYADA Brings Home Health Care Services to Orlando

BAYADA Home Health Care, a national leader in home health care, recently opened a new location in Orlando, serving residents in Brevard, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties.   A familiar presence in the Tampa and St. Petersburg area since 1978, the opening of the Orlando office supports the company’s mission of helping more and more people gain access to high quality home health care services.

According to a recent study by the Florida chapter of AARP, 77 percent of those surveyed want to receive long-term care services at home, with help from family and friends, help from professionals, or a combination of both. And 85 percent say it is extremely or very important to them that these services help them stay at home for as long as possible.

“BAYADA can help people remain in the comfort and safety of home, where they want to be,” said BAYADA Orlando office Director Paula Sanchez.

BAYADA in Orlando provides care in the home for adults with a wide range of diagnoses, including Alzheimer’s, cancer, diabetes, spinal cord injury, heart disease, and neurological and muscular disorders.  Experienced nurses receive disease-specific training and are skilled in tracheostomy and ventilator care.

Home health aides are also available for those needing support with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.

“Care can range from 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for those with complex medical needs, or for just a few hours a day for an elderly person living home who may need some extra help,”  explained Sanchez.  “We work in partnership with the physician, the family, and the client to develop an individualized plan of care.”

Sanchez brings over 18 years of health care experience to her role as director. She  joined BAYADA in 2004 and was soon promoted to associate director in the Perth Amboy, NJ office.  She recently relocated to Florida to take the reins of the new Orlando office.   “BAYADA has demonstrated over the past 37 years to be an organization of true values, delivering the best care to our clients, and supporting its employees with many recognition and reward programs,” she said.  “My goal is to deliver the highest level of care following The BAYADA Way, the company’s core values of compassion, excellence, and reliability.

BAYADA accepts a variety of payment options, all care is supervised by the RN clinical manager, and all employees go through a comprehensive reference and criminal background check.
