An Orlando driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash yesterday morning in Orange County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The accident happened on Wewahootee Road near Bunkhouse Road on Thanksgiving Day, sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.
Troopers say, 25-year-old Christina Salvador was heading northeast on Wewahootee Road when for reasons unknown, she traveled off the roadway and sideswiped several trees. The 2005 Toyota pickup Salvador was driving continued off the roadway and struck a tree, head-on.
Salvador was pronounced dead on the scene by the medical examiner. The pickup was not discovered until 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
Toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash, troopers say.
