Knicks streak past Magic

For the first time since the 93-94 season the New York Knicks are (5-0). New York went on to win the NBA Finals that season.

Carmelo Anthony’s 25 points and 8 rebounds lead the Knicks to an 99-89 win Tuesday night at the Amway Arena.

The loss is the Magic’s fifth in a row after starting the season (2-0).

Orlando had a 53-49 halftime lead, but in the second half New York put the clamps down.

“We buckled down in the second half and played more aggressive on defense,” Knicks Mike Woodson said.

New York held the Magic to 13 fourth quarter points.

JJ Redick lead the Magic with 18 points followed by Aaron Affalo’s 13 points and 5 assists.

“It’s disappointing, I want to win,” Affalo said post game.

Still in his game attire almost 40 minutes after the game was over, Affalo was very frustrated with the loss.

The Magic look to stop the losing streak against the Pistons Friday night, tip off at 7:30pm.
