A major crash on Interstate 4 early on Thursday morning resulted in one fatality, Orlando Police say.
The crash involving at least 7 vehicles, happened around 3:00 a.m., in the westbound lanes of I-4 near Kirkman Road.
Authorities are still trying to determine how the crash occurred, but a woman was hit and died at the scene. It is not yet clear whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
The pile up shut down I-4 westbound lanes for several hours, but police said, the roadway has since reopened.
The name of the female victim has not been released.
